Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Children Play No.8 by Guo Jin. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,044.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children Play No.8 von Guo Jin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.044,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Jin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
