Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Eva y la serpiente (Haiti chérie) by Guillermo Meza for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,047.42). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillermo Meza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Las Majares in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,355.32).
