Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A Sibyl Writing, A Putto To The Left by Guido Reni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 21,264.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guido Reni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David With The Head Of Goliath in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,177,250.00 (€ 4,046,962.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sibyl Writing, A Putto To The Left von Guido Reni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 21.264,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guido Reni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David With The Head Of Goliath im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.177.250,00 (€ 4.046.962,53).
