The work Figures After Chen Hongshou by Gu Luo was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,946.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Admittedly, works by Gu Luo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Character And Landscape in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 483,000.00 (€ 47,280.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures After Chen Hongshou von Gu Luo kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.946,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Luo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Character And Landscape im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 483.000,00 (€ 47.280,30).
