Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Burying Fallen Blossoms by Gu Luo was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 14,210.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Luo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Character And Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 483,000.00 (€ 47,280.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Burying Fallen Blossoms von Gu Luo wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 14.210,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Luo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Character And Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 483.000,00 (€ 47.280,30) versteigert wurde.
