In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work 2 Squares, 2 Planes by George Rickey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,875.00 (€ 30,877.65), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Rickey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work One Fixed Four Jointed Lines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 519,000.00 (€ 465,512.60).

Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 2 Squares, 2 Planes von George Rickey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.875,00 (€ 30.877,65) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Rickey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit One Fixed Four Jointed Lines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 519.000,00 (€ 465.512,60).
