The work Sans titre, c. 1940 by George Platt Lynes was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May last year. It achieved a price of EUR 1,890.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26 %. Admittedly, works by George Platt Lynes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yul Brynner, 1942 in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 16,800.00 (€ 14,005.84).

Die Arbeit Sans titre, c. 1940 von George Platt Lynes kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.890,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Platt Lynes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yul Brynner, 1942 im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 14.005,84).
