Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Youxian Ku No.3 & 4 (Diptych) by Gao Qian. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,754.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Qian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chanel No.5, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 45,041.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Youxian Ku No.3 & 4 (Diptych) von Gao Qian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.754,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Qian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chanel No.5 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 45.041,90) versteigert wurde.
