Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dos camino a Mendieta by Fernando de Szyszlo was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,997.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando de Szyszlo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dos camino a Mendieta von Fernando de Szyszlo wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.997,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando de Szyszlo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 126.947,69).
