In October 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 'Concerning America And Alfred Stieglitz, And Myself' by Emmet Gowin. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,068.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emmet Gowin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concerning America and Alfred Stieglitz, and Myself. Richmond, Virginia: by the photographer, 1965., which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,455.48).
