The price achieved of USD 25,075.00 (€ 21,529.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elmer Wachtel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The California Coast 40 x 60in in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 168,825.00 (€ 153,073.71).
