In November last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle, which included the work Looking to the Left by Ella Kruglyanskaya. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 378,000.00 (€ 46,906.71), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ella Kruglyanskaya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swordfish Picnic, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 113,648.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Looking to the Left von Ella Kruglyanskaya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 46.906,71) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ella Kruglyanskaya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swordfish Picnic beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 113.648,46) versteigert wurde.
