Description
ELAD LASSRY (B. 1977) Bedspread 01 signed 'Elad Lassry' (on a paper label affixed to the backing board) chromogenic print, in painted artist's frame 14 1 ⁄ 2 x 11 1 ⁄ 2 in. (36.8 x 29.2 cm.) Executed in 2011. This work is number five from an edition of five plus two artist's proofs.
Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bedspread 01 by Elad Lassry was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in December last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,276.00 (€ 3,062.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elad Lassry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Collie (Roof), Pink Chair in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 45,821.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bedspread 01 von Elad Lassry wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.276,00 (€ 3.062,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elad Lassry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Collie (Roof), Pink Chair im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 45.821,11).
