In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work Sailing Boats On The River The Zwarte Water, Hasselt by Egnatius Ydema. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Egnatius Ydema have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2011 the work A view of Eernwoude was auctioned for EUR 4,750.00.

Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing Boats On The River The Zwarte Water, Hasselt von Egnatius Ydema zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00.
