This artwork by Egnatius Ydema achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. In the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Haven Hindeloopen: Sailing Vessels Near The Harbour Entrance of Hindeloopen sold for EUR 3,360.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Egnatius Ydema; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A view of Eernwoude sold at auction in September 2011 with the realized price of EUR 4,750.00.

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Egnatius Ydema; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A view of Eernwoude im September 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.750,00.
