Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Horse by Deborah Butterfield was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 138,975.00 (€ 129,507.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Deborah Butterfield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Setsuko, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 468,500.00 (€ 442,900.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Horse von Deborah Butterfield kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 138.975,00 (€ 129.507,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Deborah Butterfield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Setsuko beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 468.500,00 (€ 442.900,36) versteigert wurde.
