In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British Art, which included the work Leonardo's Dog II 101.6 cm. (40 in.) high by Elisabeth Frink. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 216,300.00 (€ 250,644.66), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Elisabeth Frink have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seated Man in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,082,500.00 (€ 1,352,531.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leonardo's Dog II 101.6 cm. (40 in.) high von Elisabeth Frink zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 216.300,00 (€ 250.644,66) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elisabeth Frink auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seated Man im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.082.500,00 (€ 1.352.531,96).
