Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Putting out the fire at the Bedford Hotel, Brighton by Clifford Hall for GBP 120.00 (€ 178.10). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clifford Hall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Resting nude in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,650.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Putting out the fire at the Bedford Hotel, Brighton von Clifford Hall für GBP 120,00 (€ 178,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clifford Hall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Resting nude im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.650,82).
