The »bidding war« ended at USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,694.86), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Christopher Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Angola to Vietnam in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 81,877.14).

Die Arbeit Model: 1964 Renault Dauphine-four, r-1095, 2000 von Christopher Williams wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.694,86) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Angola to Vietnam im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 81.877,14).
