The price achieved of USD 2,070,000.00 (€ 1,833,968.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Childe Hassam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flags On 57Th Street, Winter 1918 in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 12,328,500.00 (€ 10,110,300.15).

Die Arbeit Le Crépuscule von Childe Hassam wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion The Cox Collection: The Story of Impressionism, Evening Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.070.000,00 (€ 1.833.968,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Childe Hassam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flags On 57Th Street, Winter 1918 im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.328.500,00 (€ 10.110.300,15).
