Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chen Da achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Recluse By The Plum Trees sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,397.65) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Da - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Qiu Ying, which sold at auction in September 2013 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 29,553.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Da erzielte im April 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Recluse By The Plum Trees für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.397,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Da mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Qiu Ying beobachtet, die im September 2013 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 29.553,01) versteigert wurde.
