Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in London held the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London, which included the work Bum 5 by Charlie Billingham. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,053.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charlie Billingham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth), which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,038.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bum 5 von Charlie Billingham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.053,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Charlie Billingham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonnet 4 (Elizabeth) beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.038,78) versteigert wurde.
