Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Adobe in Moonlight by Charles Rollo Peters. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,457.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Rollo Peters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moon over a pool in August last year with an auction result of USD 40,695.00 (€ 40,432.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Adobe in Moonlight von Charles Rollo Peters zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.457,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Rollo Peters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moon over a pool im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.695,00 (€ 40.432,19).
