Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work One Hundred And Twelve Spitfires by Brian Clarke was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in February 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 26,250.00 (€ 33,636.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Brian Clarke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blue Computergram, 1981, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 94,000.00 (€ 105,006.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit One Hundred And Twelve Spitfires von Brian Clarke wurde im Februar 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 26.250,00 (€ 33.636,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Brian Clarke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blue Computergram, 1981 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 94.000,00 (€ 105.006,38) versteigert wurde.
