Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Art for Maggie's: Everyone's Home of Cancer Care, which included the work Night Orchid 200 by Brian Clarke. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,855.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Brian Clarke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Computergram, 1981 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 105,006.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Art for Maggie's: Everyone's Home of Cancer Care durch, in der auch die Arbeit Night Orchid 200 von Brian Clarke zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.855,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Brian Clarke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Computergram, 1981 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 105.006,38).
