Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Monongahela At Morgantown by Blanche Lazzell was sold in the Prints & Multiples Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,538.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Blanche Lazzell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting Xi (The Windmill) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 505,000.00 (€ 324,550.13).

Die Arbeit The Monongahela At Morgantown von Blanche Lazzell wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.538,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Blanche Lazzell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting Xi (The Windmill) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 505.000,00 (€ 324.550,13).
