Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Arup Das was sold in the South Asian Modern+Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2009. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,563.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arup Das have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Village) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Arup Das wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion South Asian Modern+Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.563,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arup Das auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Village) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
