Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Varanasi) by Arup Das. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,783.22). Admittedly, works by Arup Das have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Village) in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Varanasi) von Arup Das zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.783,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arup Das auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Village) im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32).
