Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work O; and Blue Victory, from Artists for Obama by Ann Hamilton for USD 625.00 (€ 498.80). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit O; and Blue Victory, from Artists for Obama von Ann Hamilton für USD 625,00 (€ 498,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
