This artwork by Ángel Botello achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Reclining Girl sold for USD 47,880.00 (€ 42,304.29) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ángel Botello have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Niña durmiendo in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 397,000.00 (€ 270,288.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ángel Botello erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wurde die Arbeit Reclining Girl für USD 47.880,00 (€ 42.304,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ángel Botello auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Niña durmiendo im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 397.000,00 (€ 270.288,67).
