Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Blind Musician, Abony, Hungary by André Kertész. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,179.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Kertész achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atelier Mondrian, Paris in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 314,000.00 (€ 370,021.21).
