Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Grande Tête Mince (Grande Tête De Diego) by Alberto Giacometti was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2013. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 50,005,000.00 (€ 36,752,168.16). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Giacometti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'homme au doigt, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Grande Tête Mince (Grande Tête De Diego) von Alberto Giacometti wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 50.005.000,00 (€ 36.752.168,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'homme au doigt beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00) versteigert wurde.
