Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ad Reinhardt was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,103.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Reinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ad Reinhardt kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.103,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
