In June 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included this untitled work by Ad Reinhardt. The »bidding war« ended at USD 157,500.00 (€ 132,933.83), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Reinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).

Im Juni 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ad Reinhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 157.500,00 (€ 132.933,83) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
