This work without title by Ad Reinhardt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. It achieved a price of USD 1,084,800.00 (€ 889,617.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Admittedly, works by Ad Reinhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ad Reinhardt kam im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.084.800,00 (€ 889.617,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
