This work without title by Ad Reinhardt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. It achieved a price of USD 300,000.00 (€ 269,082.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Reinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ad Reinhardt kam im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 269.082,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
