Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ten Screenprints by Ad Reinhardt was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,786.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ad Reinhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,981,000.00 (€ 4,004,663.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ten Screenprints von Ad Reinhardt wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.786,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ad Reinhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting, Blue, 1953 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.981.000,00 (€ 4.004.663,13).
